Have you ever wondered what the designation of poundage means when purchasing a natural fiber stick broom? For instance, 28, 32, or 36 lb.? It's quite simple. The number represents the shipping weight of one dozen brooms. It is a great way to determine the quality of the broom. Marko only carries the best quality in the most popular two types of corn brooms!

Marko push brooms are made of the finest quality materials so they last under heavy use. Choose your bristle and put them to the test! Keep in mind the type of material you sweep the most and be sure to pick the bristle type to suit your purpose.Fine Sweeping may be achieved using the soft Acrylic fiber. The soft, self-flagging, copper-colored bristles are great for replacing dust mops, but are not recommended for use with oil-based sweeping compounds or oily floors. Bristle trim length three inches and filled tightly across a hardwood block.Medium Sweeping may be achieved with Tampico, Black Prolene™ or Blue Plastic bristles. For the ultimate "wet area" broom, choose Prolene™ or Blue Plastic mounted in a plastic block. Tampico is not good for oily floors, but Prolene and Blue Plastic will do the job. All these bristles are good for debris of sand and finer.Coarse Sweeping may be achieved with either the Bronco™ or Stiff Polypro. These bristles are stiff enough for driveways, sidewalks, wherever gravel and sand are a problem.
